Buried Treasure in NF - Reset times?
Hi all,
I've just discovered the treasure chests / buried treasure in NF (spot the noob) and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how long these take to reset?
I've done somesearching on guildwiki, but it says that different people report different things. Is 30 days a safe time to leave between runs, or shrter? Longer? Is there any consensus out there? I'd be glad if anyone could give me more info.
Thx

I'm curious to others people findings. I farmed them nearly a month ago, and with some chars I did it even before. But chest never got refilled. Now I will try again with a character that I am probably gonna delete in the future. One thing I can share with u is that they give some 30-40 k on average when all 10 are emptied.

I do all of them at once on all of my pve chars (10 of them... I make a lot of cash from these things), every 40 days or so. They've always resetted and I've always had golds/rare mats not purples which apparently may occur if you do it more often. I cant give you a consensus because as you say, different people report different things, but it works well for me. I make about 400k from them this way.

re
They reset roughly every thirty days. I have been doing them since release, and then after the first reset, ect ect. I have noticed how ever that on the main charecter i have done them with, my first charecter, a warrior, it gets further and firther between reset each time. hes going on 48 days now and still havent reset for him.
Also you might want to note that after you have done them roughly 4 times each per charecter, the drops start coming up mostly purples, and the gold cuts in half. Where i was getting 1.5 k before im now getting 750 gold ect.
Hope that helps some

Oh... and there's a rumour that you shouldn't check whether they're open before they're due to open, or it will reset the counter. Again, no consensus.

Ok, thanks for that, everybody.
I think some scientific (ish) research is required. I'll check the chests in 40 days & see if they've refilled. If they do, I'll check back in 39 days, 38 etc & see where the pattern takes me.
I'll keep you posted (if I don't forget, or someone else posts their finding beforehand)
Cheers,

I know we all have anecdotal experience, and my anecdotal experience is that the resets get further apart the more times you hit them, and by the 3rd time you hit them they are all purple items (rare ruby/diamond/sapph mixed in),with half the amount of gold (as in cash)
that means most of the chests are actually not even worth the time it takes to get to them your 3rd time around.

They reset 30 days after you last tried to open them. Its the best theory i've seen on these chests and it seems to be accurate.

I think the more you play on a character the more time you need to get the chests reset. My warrior, who is my most played character still haven't got them reset, and I opened the chests in January. While my ranger and got them reset about in a month and a half.

31 days +1 per opening was the theory I posted, and it's holding true so far. The funny thing is... there's always one or two people who say they never touch the chests and still can't open them after the required days, so there is no single correct theory at this point. The majority of people however do seem to have success with the 31+1(x) formula. Good luck. :P
Oh, and no - you don't have to open them all for them to reset. I have several characters who did the first two chests one month, then four the following month, etc. as I progressed through the game.

The theory on GuildWiki is that treasure resets 30 days after you got any treasure on that character (not account).
Sadly noone has concrete proof that this is actually true, and the 30+X days theory could well be true.
It's also believed that checking if the treasure is refilled, and getting and empty message counts as opening it.

Correct.
We don't know for certain EXACTLY when the chests reset....perhaps they reset at 30 days plus certain amount of XP added on to your character? I've found that to work well.
31 days is your best bet, until there is a proven reset time go with Guildwiki, at least on this topic.
